In partnership with former Major League Baseball (MLB) MVP, Jason Giambi, and former Colorado Rockies general manager and current MLB network analyst, Dan O’Dowd, EON Sports VR will introduce Project OPS, an interactive hitting simulator.
The new VR hitting simulator will raise strike zone awareness and focus on pitch recognition from the pitching mound in real 360 degree action. Through the VR training experience, Jason Giambi will provide interactive tutorials.
Jason Giambi said: “The Strike Zone awareness simulation is unparalleled in baseball today. I can’t imagine what the game would have looked like if we had this technology when I broke into the league in the mid-90’s. Many kids live in cold weather climates where they can’t get out on the diamond every day. This solution allows hitters around the world to practice real-life applications and situations wherever they are.”
