In partnership with United States Agency for International Development (USAID), the Agency of Digital Development (ADD), Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P), the University Mohammed V (represented by the engineering school ENSIAS), the Ministry of Education, and the Ministry of Industry, EON Reality is opening the Interactive Digital Center (IDC) in Ben Guerir.

The IDC will bring Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality to Morocco as a means to transfer knowledge and skills with a particular emphasis in the areas of vocational training and higher education. The Center will also display the “triple-helix model” of the significant improvement that can be made to a region by bringing together the local government, higher education, and biggest industrial sectors all under one roof. As EON Reality has seen in many previous locations, the IDC will help build the foundation of a local AR and VR ecosystem to support the region’s economy by helping companies and industries to improve their productivity and safety.

The new IDC provides access to state of the art Augmented and Virtual Reality technologies including a new virtual showroom, development lab, and a new hub for research and development of products and applications for the education and industry markets, creating a center of excellence in Morocco. Additionally, the Center also houses a VR Innovation Academy, which teaches the skills needed to be successful in creating AR and VR content and applications for industry and training. These skills also enable students to work in industries such as architecture and product visualization, game creation, multimedia design, and broadcast media.

Together with thought leaders from the industry and education sectors, we will share how scalable AR and VR solutions are continuing to transform education and training worldwide.
