The deal will deliver hundreds of licenses to students and teachers at the international university.

EON Reality, the world leader in Augmented and Virtual Reality-based knowledge and skills transfer for industry and education, is proud to announce a new installation bringing the AVR Platform and technology into Monash University Malaysia’s classrooms in the near future.

The implementation is expected to provide effective AR and VR academic solutions to the next generation of students and teachers, helping them to learn more efficiently and better prepare their core competencies for jobs in the nation’s growing economy.

Along with the AVR Platform software being provided to the Malaysian campus of the international Australian-based university, EON Reality and Markora will also provide the hardware with which to use it — ranging from a personal headset to the room-scale deployment screen known as the EON iCatcher. With these tools, Monash University Malaysia will have everything they need to launch their courses directly into using AR and VR on a regular basis.

The AVR Platform has also proven to offer a strong foundation for remote education and self-directed learning which further strengthens Monash University’s ability to deliver education through the “Flipped Classroom” methodology.

By introducing the advanced and immersive structure known as Classroom 3.0 to the university, EON Reality hopes to not only assist the capabilities of the school but also improve the overall job market and academic possibilities in the surrounding area. It’s all a part of the company’s mission to bring their accessible and affordable flagship product to areas of the world that normally would not be able to use such technology.

“Implementing an installation like this with a university like Monash University Malaysia gives us an opportunity to reach so many more people in different countries and walks of life. The international nature of the university immediately opens doors to students and teachers in a variety of locations, and supporting the academic and industry dreams of nations around the world is a goal of ours. We’re very happy and excited to show what the AVR Platform and Classroom 3.0 is capable of on a local, national, and global scale.”

The new presence of EON Reality in Malaysia will also give the university access to the world’s largest AR and VR library in addition to the custom solutions. The inclusion of the AVR Platform also marks a step in the university’s plan to incorporate new technology into their traditional pedagogy over the next few years — which has long been a goal for the well-connected private university.
