Laval Virtual laid groundwork for French Edutainment Hub, EON Reality SARL, and was featured on CANAL+’s “Le Tube”.

IRVINE, CA, April 24th , 2014 – EON Reality Inc., the world’s leading interactive 3D software provider, had a blockbuster Laval Virtual with around 15,000 people experiencing EON Reality’s Virtual and Augmented Reality applications and systems. EON Reality was also featured heavily in the local media with multiple press mentions, including Ouest France, and several TV crews, including CANAL+. CANAL+’s weekly high-tech show “Le Tube” ran their footage of EON Reality on April 19th as part of a segment on Oculus VR (https://goo.gl/zCX9IV).

The event started with a splash as the official delegation made the EON Reality booth their first stop of the event and experienced the EON Icube, EON Ibench Mobile, and both the Oculus Rift and Zeiss Cinemizer running EON software. The official delegation included representatives of the central government, the Vice President of the Region, the newly elected Mayor of Laval, and the president of the Chamber of Commerce of Laval totalling approximately 80 people.

Additionally, EON Reality presented a scholarly paper on the EonVision Idome’s technical innovations and development. The presentation covered broad topics such as the intricate systems integration required for the Idome’s construction and the potential applications of the Idome. Technical issues addressed included how to deliver an interactive experience for 24 people, how to merge 3D interactive objects with background video and rendered animations, and how to get real-time two way interactions.
