The latest expansion makes EON Reality’s Kuwaiti partner its GCC headquarters
IRVINE, CA, November 19, 2021 – EON Reality, the global leader in Augmented and Virtual Reality-based knowledge and skills transfer for industry and education, announces a new partnership with the National Company for Educational Services and Training (NEST), which is a fully owned subsidiary of the National Technology Enterprises Company (NTEC) in Kuwait, to expand their existing partnership into a new agreement that will affect the entire Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region.
The XR Center and existing collaboration with NEST will now see EON Reality’s Kuwait location serve as the global company’s base of operations for the GCC — an area which also includes Bahrain, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates. This new partnership is an expansion on the previous agreement that launched an XR Center last year in Kuwait and will be formally inaugurated by a visit from EON Reality’s Chairman and Founder, Dan Lejerskar.
“The new expansion and extension of our partnership with NEST isn’t just a big step for us in the GCC region, but it’s also a clear example of how our existing partners around the world can always grow into a larger role,” Lejerskar said. “After launching the EON-XR center last year, it was clear that our partners in Kuwait were ready to become a regional hub for all of EON Reality’s activities, so we are taking advantage of that opportunity and making it a reality that will benefit everyone involved — including no one more than the citizens, businesses, and schools in the surrounding areas.”
In addition to the regional expansion, EON Reality is also partnering with NEST to add additional business development resources for the region, while enhancing technical support for EON-XR and other solutions in Arabic. These steps have become clear necessities for the Irvine-based company to serve the growing demand within the GCC’s nations.
As a Kuwaiti governmentally owned organization that focuses on transferring knowledge and technology into Kuwait and the region and to diversify the nation’s revenue streams, NEST has been an ideal partner for EON Reality. The local XR Center has already seen a ton of success and growth within the community, while nearby academic institutions and businesses within Kuwait’s largest private sectors have also felt the impact of having a world-class XR hub in a convenient location.
Going forward, NEST and EON Reality hope to continue to spread digital transformation across the country and entire GCC region, with rollouts happening throughout academia and enterprise.

About NEST
NEST is a company that specializes in education & training. It is a subsidiary of National Technology Enterprises Company (NTEC), which is fully-owned by Kuwait’s Sovereign Fund – the Kuwait Investment Authority (KIA). NTEC is capitalized at 100 million Kuwaiti Dinars, ($330m) and NEST was founded in 2019 as part of an effort to fulfill NTEC’s mandate to transfer technology and knowledge into Kuwait and the region.
NEST recognizes that dynamic education is vital to Kuwait progression as a nation. As such, NEST decided to address the knowledge gap that exists currently in the Kuwaiti educational market through educational development and educational technologies, (EdTech). NEST’s vision for the future is across the full value chain of education; this includes K-12 schooling, a leadership institute, a vocational training center, and even a full-fledged university that offers dual degrees in partnership with global prestigious educational institutions. NEST believes AR/VR can be integrated across the full education value chain. Additional information can be found at www.nest.edu.kw.
