The collaboration will bring world-class EON-XR solutions to Meharry Medical College

Adding access to world-class XR solutions will enable them to bring their classrooms into the future of interactive teaching, while their depth of knowledge and practical usage of hands-on training will provide valuable contributions to the metaverse as a whole.

With the new additions to the knowledge metaverse and EON-XR, Meharry Medical College’s educators will be able to offer hands-on training to their students without needing to be present in the classroom at all times. Combined with the college’s existing courses of medical study, the immersive experiences and content will provide a distinct advantage for many of the college’s students and faculty — particularly in the event that education has to remove to remote learning again in the future.

As EON Reality’s latest partner in its journey to bring the knowledge metaverse across the country and around the world, Meharry Medical College is an example of an academic institution that can provide a perfectly beneficial relationship with the XR leader. The initial partnership will focus on providing EON-XR solutions for students and faculty to introduce them to the knowledge metaverse, but it shouldn’t take long for Meharrians to list among the top industry-specific contributors to the global project — creating and deploying lessons and experiences centered around healthcare and medicine for users regardless of location or background.

Meharry’s integration of EON Reality’s technology is spearheaded by Dr. Offodile, who serves as the Director of the Pamela C. Williams Simulation and Clinical Skills Center. The simulation center provides training experiences for students.  The experiences include  real patient encounters with Standardized patients  and simulated medical procedures such as operations, surgical skills/procedures, clinical examinations,  and simulated obstetric experiences. This collaboration will further support our mission.
