Interactive Oil and Gas Training Module

In a series of courses developed for oil and gas training, students can now learn about the critical role of the tree saver in AR and VR. Trees and Well Heads are critical parts of any oil and gas well, serving to regulate the production rates and are very important barriers in case of leaks. The tree saver allows the independent isolation of any operation pressure effects as well as those of the tool activation. Using an interactive model for experiential learning, students can now understand the importance of tree savers and the problems that may affect the integrity of a tree saver and the well head as part of oil and gas operations training.

Aerospace Multi-Level Training in AR and VR

How are aerospace companies using AR and VR to lead the charge in multi-level training in safety, handling and engineering? With EON-XR, the aerospace industry now has a solution that combines high-end visualisation and real time simulation of operations for hands on, immersive training. EON-XR is now ready to provide employees and trainees with a library of self-created learning content that allows them to accelerate the learning and training process. Using EON-XR, aerospace trainers can now design common aircraft problems for ground crew training in AR and VR, without having to damage any aircraft.

The result? Lowered costs, lowered risks and heightened safety as operations personnel are prepared for extreme scenarios.

Using immersive technology, there is now a way to ensure the operations team are ready for any unexpected situations to ensure passenger safety. To view more aerospace applications created by EON Reality, please click here.

A Virtual Lab for Chemistry Students

EON-XR now provides a hands on virtual lab for chemistry students and a safe space  for experiments in AR and VR. This virtual lab now makes equipment more accessible to students in schools that can only offer limited lab time with social distancing measures.  Using EON-XR, students can now experience setting up their own experiments at home with their own smart phones or desktops. Getting access to a lab isn’t always easy, but AR  and VR technologies are now opening the doors of opportunity for students across the world to learn at their own time and pace.  Because there’s no time limit, students can review theories, concepts, and techniques as often as they want. In addition, the feedback from our analytics and assessment feature willl help them understand which concepts they need to review, and where they need more practice.

Understanding Renewable Energy with AR and VR

With initiatives such as the U.S. Department of Energy’s “20% Wind Energy by 2030” outlining an exponential increase of wind energy capacity over the coming years, revolutionary educational reform is needed to meet the demand for education in the field of wind energy. How are we using AR and VR to power training and learning in renewable energy management? As one of the world’s largest man-made structures, wind turbines are getting bigger with technological advancements. Often installed in isolated places, getting up close to learn about one is even more difficult and costly.

Using EON-XR, students and trainees can now get up close to a wind turbine in their own living rooms. Safer, cheaper and completely immersive, AR and VR brings a whole new layer to understanding renewable energy.  This hands on lesson helps students transfer learning concepts to practical application, solving one of the biggest issues of limited training due to cost and accessibility.

Unravel the History of the Notre Dame Cathedral in AR VR

Students can now unravel the history of the Notre Dame Cathedral in AR VR. On the evening of  April 15, 2019, the world watched as a mammoth blaze engulfed the iconic landmark of Paris. But this was not the first time the Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris stared at danger in its face. The Notre-Dame Cathedral suffered damage and deterioration through the centuries. After the French Revolution it was rescued from possible destruction by Napoleon, who crowned himself emperor of the French in the cathedral in 1804. Notre-Dame underwent major restorations by the French architect Eugène-Emmanuel Viollet-le-Duc in the mid-19th century. The popularity of Victor Hugo’s historical novel Notre-Dame de Paris (1831), wherein the cathedral is the setting, was said to have inspired the renovations.

The cathedral, where 13 million visitors used to crowd every year, is still closed to the public. However as restoration work continue on the Cathedral, students and visitors alike can still explore the Gothic Cathedral in its full splendor in AR and VR on EON-XR.

Warehouse On-boarding Training in AR and VR

New to the warehouse? Here is an interactive AR/VR lesson designed for on-boarding training in warehouse operations on EON-XR. It can be a dizzying experience trying to learn all the industry terminology and workflows. Efficient warehouse operations do not happen by accident, but through adherence to a series of best practices initiatives. Using EON-XR, new hires can now be introduced quickly to the logistics space, by illustrating the key concepts behind common warehouse terms and operations.

The Future of Urban Transportation in AR and VR

Students can now dig deeper (pun intended) to explore the future of urban transportation, as Elon Musk sets his sights on building underground road networks. Many of the world’s largest cities have reached their capacity to absorb new infrastructure ‘on the ground’. These cities are now looking at solutions – both above and below the ground – to overcome mobility challenges. Using EON-XR, engineering students can now build and visualize their own designs in AR and VR. With a highway of innovative ideas, the future of urban transportation does not seem too distant anymore.

Robben Island, A Lesson of Hope and Reconciliation

Robben Island, today a World Heritage Site, and a lesson of hope and reconciliation, is a sobering reminder of a 27 year long struggle which finally saw the triumph of democracy over oppression. “Journeying to Robben Island was like going to another country,” Mandela wrote in his autobiography, Long Walk to Freedom. “Its isolation made it not simply another prison, but a world of its own.”  Yet as visitors roam the concrete blocks, and the cell where prisoner number 46664 spent years with nothing but a bedroll on the floor, a tiny stool and a ceramic pot, they are told the story of hope, reconciliation and the power of the human spirit.  Today, it is important that students learn about the the ways change has been brought in the past, as we take a step towards action, dialogue and reconciliation.

“No one is born hating another person because of the color of his skin, or his background, or his religion. People must learn to hate, and if they can learn to hate, they can be taught to love, for love comes more naturally to the human heart than its opposite.” – Nelson Mandela, Long Walk to Freedom

The Robben Island lesson is now available on EON-XR which can be viewed here.
