The Academy launched at the initiative of the University of Mauritius and Mauritius EON Reality welcomed its first students in Post Graduate Diploma in Virtual Reality. In December, EON also inaugurate its headquarters Ebony an Interactive Digital Center for the African continent.
EON Reality Mauritius, in collaboration with the University of Mauritius (UoM), recently launched the VR Innovation Academy. The institution, located at the company’s headquarters in The Core, Ebony offers a Post Graduate Diploma in Virtual Reality with the first courses started on November 9.
The Post Graduate Diploma in Virtual Reality is awarded upon completion of a two semesters. It focuses initially on the creation of content for immersive environments and then working to optimize the said content, interactivity, or adaptability to various media, including mobile platforms, between other.
The selection of candidates for access to this training is rigorous. Indeed, as explained Romeela Mohee, Vice-Chancellor of UoM, “the Post Graduate Diploma in Virtual Reality is a higher university degree, the student must first be holding a training in the field of technology Information and communication or science, engineering and digital design “. In addition, applicants must pass a personal interview before being accepted.
