The latest update to EON-XR focuses on simplifying content creation and development for academic and enterprise users.
BOLOGNA, ITALY, September 25, 2019 — EON Reality is excited to announce some big changes coming to EON-XR and its associated products. While recent updates have been all about adding more features to EON-XR, the release of EON 10 and latest improvements to several Augmented and Virtual Reality (EON-XR) solutions defines a new approach to bring the EON-XR industry to the next level — by making it “EASI.”
As announced at the Immersive Learning Summit in Italy on September 25, “EASI” stands for Effortless, Affordable, Self-Service, and Interconnected, which are the four driving principles behind every product decision EON Reality is making. Watch this video which highlights the latest updates.

Breaking “EASI” down to its core, EON has adopted a new bright and clean user experience to make learning EON-XR Effortless. With over 860,000 new 3D assets available, saving money on asset and lesson development creates an Affordable solution. The Self-Service aspect comes from providing a brand new first-time user experience along with the other additions, meaning users won’t need to rely on anyone to explain even the most complex actions. Finally, thanks to the new Interconnected features of EON-XR and Virtual Trainer, moving 3D content from one to the other has never been easier.
«The Immersive Learning Summit has been a tremendous success so far. Along with our many existing clients who came to the event to see our latest updates and offerings, potential new partners from all over the world visited our office in Bologna to discuss business possibilities for the near future. It is a marvelous time for both EON Reality and the future of VR and AR training and education.»
Both speakers and attendees at the Immersive Learning Summit events in Bologna, Irvine, and Singapore were re-introduced to the unrivaled value that EON-XR technology can add to learning, training, and performance in the workplace. To make full use of those possibilities, EON Reality also covered the two powerful recent additions to the asset side of EON-XR: Cloud Conversion and the Vault.
The new Cloud Conversion tool utilizes SAP to allow CAD models to be seamlessly imported into EON-XR, making it EASIer than ever before to bring new 3D models into lessons, training sessions, and more. For those who don’t want to import their own models at all, the Vault will provide a password-protected browsing experience where valued clients can look through some of the previous models that EON has created for select projects and see if they can be modified for the client’s future usage.
Additionally, EON 10 adds a handful of new features focused on big functionality improvements, such as imported EON-XR and CAD models being fully useable on Oculus and Vive headsets. That means users will now be able to smoothly transition the same content from their phone to a head-mounted device at any time.
EON-XR itself also sees a couple of significant changes, in that users can now base their lessons around 360 degree images and videos with interactive points. Combined with the new ability to incorporate PDF files into their lessons and courses, educators and trainers now have a brand new way to share information and knowledge in an immersive environment — with even more supported format types to come soon.
The new updates also include some UI tweaks to maximize EASIness and will continue to be implemented and refined in the near future. For more information, check out EON-XR page.
