IVINE, Calif., July 7, 2010 – EON Reality, the world’s leading interactive 3D software provider, today announced the new immersive 4-wall EON Icube system. This new 4-wall solution is easy to move, takes significantly less time to install and leaves a considerably smaller footprint. The screen size is 8 feet wide vs. 10 feet wide for a standard Icube and the pixel size is still 90{0fab034ea82b07661647ea8532e9066bcdd529bddfd482414d4493f90063c904} compared to the standard Icube (121 pixels/sq inch vs. 136 pixels/sq inch). The new EON Icube fits easily in a 10 feet high room where the floor is raised 6-12 inches off the ground, and can be walked upon so the user can still look down on objects floating off the floor.
EON Reality is the leading provider of state-of-the-art solutions for immersive and stereoscopic viewing, from portable Tablet PCs and glass free stereo display systems to curved-screen and immersive rooms consisting of multi-channel projection walls. “Our software tools are integrated with a wide range of display systems providing flexibility to publish content,” said Mats Johansson, CEO at EON Reality.
The EON Icube is a PC based multi-sided immersive environment in which participants are completely surrounded by virtual imagery and 3D sound. Objects float in 3D space, can be touched and manipulated by users, and can be changed in real-time.
Immersive CAVE environments such as the EON Icube have been proven to have a successful impact for training, learning, product development, design, marketing, human factor studies, cultural heritage, rehabilitation of athletes, and also for treating phobias in Virtual Therapy.
