Introducing 3D Mobility with augmented reality anytime, anywhere for task support, site management and emergency services

IRVINE, Calif., May 19, 2011 – EONReality, the world’s leading interactive 3D software provider, today announced the release of EON IPortal Glasses(TM), www.eonreality.com/iportal.html, a new technology program that enables augmented reality eye glasses to overlay 3D information on the glasses thus providing real-time guidance and information in the physical world.

How it works

EON IPortal Glasses platform receives real-time input from position and orientation sensors, and update view-point position of 3D/2D data and orientation accordingly. The integrated solution tracks the device’s position and orientation in 3D physical space, independent of line-of-sight.

“By using EON IPortal Glasses’ powerful solution rescue workers, architects, engine mechanics or just a regular tourist that is looking for the closest subway can benefit from the ability to get instant context relevant 3D information presented in their field of vision anytime, anywhere,” said Dan Lejerskar Chairman, EON Reality.
