IRVINE, CAJune 10, 2026EON Reality, alongside EON AI Ventures today announced the Work Intelligence (WI), a new category of enterprise system: the system of record for how physical work is actually performed. Enterprises have digitized their transactions (ERP), their designs (CAD/PLM), and their structured records (CRM, HR) — but the most valuable asset of all, the operational competence in their best people’s hands, has never been capturable by any system. Work Intelligence captures it, verifies it, and compounds it — as a strategic data asset the enterprise owns. ERP for your resources. CRM for your customers. PLM for your products. WI for your work.

The announcement is detailed in a new white paper, Work Intelligence: The Enterprise’s Missing System of Record, which defines the category for both executive and general audiences.

The Crisis We Solve

Signal Value
Share of enterprise value that is intangible — yet largely uncaptured where it matters most ~90% (vs. ~17% in 1975)
Employers naming the skills gap the #1 barrier to transformation 63% (WEF Future of Jobs 2025)
Manufacturing workers aged 55+ — the “Great Crew Change” taking expertise with it ~25%
Where the deepest expertise lives In people’s hands — in no manual, no system, no dataset

THE WHY: Intelligence Is Not Enough

An AI can pass any exam. It still cannot run a refinery, commission a plant, or keep a turbine spinning — because it has never been taught how the work is actually done. That knowledge is tacit: the feel, the judgment, the small corrections that separate the written procedure from reality. As philosopher Michael Polanyi observed, “we know more than we can tell.” It exists in no manual and no public dataset, and across heavy industry it is retiring with the generation that holds it.

Until now, every digital approach flattened this knowledge into text: an AI looks at an image and writes a description — words about the work. EON takes the opposite path: it turns the work into a world — a living, interactive 3D digital twin in which the knowledge is embedded in the space, the geometry, and the components themselves. What happens in the field is captured into that world, at full contextual fidelity: the system knows what happened, where, and on what.

Four Breakthroughs That Had to Converge

Work Intelligence was impossible until four separate breakthroughs arrived at once — and EON is the only company holding all four, closed into a single loop:

  • Build the twin (Genesis). AI builds an intelligent 3D twin automatically — geometry plus behaviour: components that move, act, and respond like a true simulator. What once cost six figures and months of specialist work is now authored automatically.
  • See & guide (FieldIQ). Glasses and cameras that both observe the work and guide it interactively at the point of work — a two-way channel between the worker and the twin.
  • Capture in 3D (AssessIQ). Field activity is captured grounded in space and geometry — context, not a text log — so it can be replayed, simulated, and acted upon.
  • Judge & compound (Verdict · Compound IQ). The system judges what came back from the field, adversarially verifies what is reliable, and folds the good — the moves never in the original twin — back into the 3D world. The twin gets smarter with every job performed.

“Each was impossible until now. Only EON holds all four — as one closed loop,” the white paper notes. Owning one breakthrough yields a product; owning the loop defines the category.

THE WHAT: A New Class of Enterprise System

Business Intelligence told the enterprise what it did; Work Intelligence captures how it actually works. It does not replace ERP, CAD, or PLM — it captures the one asset they never could, and sits alongside them in the enterprise stack. For the executive office, it is not a training tool or an AR application: it is a strategic data asset the enterprise owns. Roughly 90% of enterprise value is now intangible; Work Intelligence captures the previously-uncapturable slice of it and puts it, measurably and transferably, under enterprise control.

The layer is governed by five operating principles: competence is captured, not written; the loop runs both ways; trust is earned in stages — advice before authority; the operator owns the competence, not the model vendor; and the layer is embodiment-agnostic — it trains a human today and becomes a machine’s curriculum tomorrow.

Trust, Engineered for Safety-Critical Work

  • Advice, not authority. The AI suggests; the expert always decides. Autonomy is earned, never assumed.
  • Adversarial verification. EON Verdict stress-tests every twin and procedure before it is trusted.
  • A standard to measure against. The gold-standard twin is the specification; AssessIQ measures the real-world delta.
  • A complete audit trail. Via the xAPI standard, every action is traceable and accountable.

One Category, Three Faces

  • For people — Human 2.0. Like placing the most experienced expert at every worker’s shoulder. People are not replaced; they are multiplied.
  • For the enterprise — a new asset. The previously-uncapturable slice of intangible value, now owned, measured, and compounding.
  • For the machines — the curriculum. When robots arrive, they must be taught how work is done. There is no public dataset for that. Machines get Physical AI; the enterprise gets Work Intelligence — and that curriculum is already being written.

“Every enterprise has digitized everything except the thing that actually runs it: how its best people do the work. That knowledge was impossible to capture — the simulators were too expensive, the glasses didn’t exist, and AI couldn’t see in 3D. All of that just changed. Work Intelligence captures what could never be captured before, and turns it into a world that gets smarter every day. It is the system of record your stack has been missing — for people first, and machines next.”

— Dan Lejerskar, Chairman, EON AI Ventures

“CIOs tell us the same thing everywhere: the skills walking out the door are their biggest unmanaged risk. Work Intelligence makes that risk a managed asset — captured at the point of work, verified before it is trusted, and owned by the enterprise, not by a model vendor.”

— Mats Johansson, President, EON AI Ventures

EON has built toward this category since 2018 — when the conviction was right and the technology was not yet ready. The loop now runs end to end: Genesis → FieldIQ → AssessIQ → Verdict → the Intelligence Flywheel. Read more in the white paper, Work Intelligence: The Enterprise’s Missing System of Record.
