BERTIL ANDERSSON

CHAIRMAN OF EON EDUCATION

Professor Andersson uses his lifetime of experience of working in institutions of higher learning and research to help guide EON Reality in building stronger relations with academia and developing solutions that solve the needs of educational institutions. He is a prominent biochemist and won the Wilhelm Exner Medal in recognition of his research in biochemistry. He joined NTU as its first Provost in 2007, and in 2011 was appointed President. During Andersson’s stint as President, NTU moved from 74th position in 2010 to 11th in 2017 in the QS World University Rankings leadership, making it the highest ranked Asian university.
Prof. Andersson has been a leading proponent of the flipped classroom at the university level, and its adoption has been part of NTU’s meteoric success. In working with EON Reality, Prof. Andersson is looking to evolve the flipped classroom into “Classroom 3.0.” which blends e-learning, moocs, and distance learning with experiential learning technologies such as EON Reality’s EON-XR Platform. Additionally, Andersson will advise our network of Academies and help guide its future development.

Anna Lejerskar is EON Reality’s Executive Vice President . She graduated from Russian University of People’s Friendship with a masters degree in business administration. Mrs. Lejerskar has been the driving force behind EON Reality’s outreach to Africa, Latin America, Asia, and the Middle East through the establishment of the EON Learn for Life Program, EON World Heritage Initiative, and the KnowledgeBit Initiative. These programs, along with her work in CIS countries, have helped grow EON Reality’s presence globally. Mrs. Lejerskar has a decade of international business experience and is currently engaging with various international partners to provide better access to Augmented and Virtual Reality technology and help make education available, affordable, and accessible.

Ivo Josipović

FORMER PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF CROATIA

Ivo Josipović, former president of the Republic of Croatia, from February 2010 to February 2015. He is the first President of Croatia not to be reelected to a second term.He was born in Zagreb, where he graduated from the Faculty of Law of the University of Zagreb. He received his master's degree there, following post-graduate studies in criminal procedure law, and his doctor's degree. He also graduated in composition from the Zagreb Music Academy and holds an honorary doctorate degree from the Immanuel Kant State University of Russia.
Prior to his election to the office of president, Ivo Josipović was a university professor, a member of the Croatian parliament, and a composer. He taught criminal procedure law, international penal law, and misdemeanor law. He also taught harmony at the Zagreb Music Academy. He has published several books and eighty-five scholarly and expert papers in journals and magazines in Croatia and abroad. He has composed about fifty compositions. He has received numerous Croatian and international artistic prizes and awards, among them the Grand Prix of the European Broadcasting Union and two Porin Croatian Record Awards. For a number of years he was director of one of the most important European festivals of contemporary music, Music Biennale Zagreb, and served as Secretary-General of the Croatian Composers’ Society.

Prof.dr. Edmond Hajrizi

Rector of UBT

Prof.dr. Edmond Hajrizi is the founder and rector of the private institution of higher education, UBT, which is a reflection of his experience and expertise gathered during the studies and work in many universities and international institutions. He graduated in engineering in University of Prishtina, and after two years became a master of Advanced Automotive Technology in the same university. During the same year, he enrolled for his doctoral studies in the University of Vienna in Systems Mangament parallelly with his studies in Information Technology. He finished his postdoctoral studies in England, City University of London.
He is a certified manager of quality from TUEV Austria, the first accredited expert for the certification project in 4 levels from the International Authority for Project Management.
Hajrizi is an accredited examiner and trainer for Quality Management under the umbrella of European Organization for Quality Austria, the main expert for EFQM model accredited from ILEP foundation.
Rector Hajrizi came back from Vienna to make his dream come true. His dream was to establish an institution that brings in Kosova the most technological innovations and developments, which are up to date with the most developed countries, becoming the first address for higher education studies in Kosova and region.
In 2001, Hajrizi founded the insitution IEME bringing a different approach in researches, university studies, professional trainings and international conferences. 2003 was the year when UBT got licensed, fiercely entering the field of univerisity studies.
The establishment of UBT marks a new chapter in the development of higher education in Kosova, being up to date and showing a whole new level of education like never before.
From 29, the number of students in the first generation, to 10,000, the number of students that left their future in the hands of UBT- This is a prof of the success of UBT and professionalism of Hajrizi which made many people strongly believe in this insitution. Today, 90% of those students are active in the job market and hundreds of other people are employed thorughout a year, representing the greatest reward for them.
Today, UBT is a synonym of an institution that offers developed programs, comparable to those in Europe and USA. It is the place that offers studies in all the fields, for profiles that are required most in the job market, the place that represents the main address of state institutions in requiring expertise and professional support.
UBT hosts thousands of world-wide known personalities who visit Kosova. It is the biggest support to the countries’ highest instances that work for increasing the quality and improving the life in Kosova. Thanks to professor Hajrizi lobbying in many countries, Kosova is a strong voice and member in many international institutions, something that politics can never do.

UBT is the most serious academic institution in organizing international and scientific conferences. Jan Kjallstrom

Chief Research, Development, & Innovation Officer

Jan began his career 1997 by heading the VR content development at Yokohama VR Center in Japan and developed one of the worlds first 6-degree of freedom (6DOF) Virtual Reality Excavator Training Simulator for Komatsu, Japan. Since then he’s been responsible of all global software and hardware systems development including Virtual Reality Icube, Interactive multi-user Dome system, mobile VR and AR applications and EON Reality’s own software platform, EON Professional.

Jan is currently leading the global Product Development that is spread around the globe at offices in Sweden, UK, France, Singapore, Australia and US. The latest development under Jan’s leadership is EON-XR. It’s a scalable, cloud based, Software as a Service AR and VR Platform that provides the core features needed for educational institutions and enterprises to build, deploy, and scale knowledge transfer applications.

Jan specializes in VR and AR innovation and currently holds 5 approved patents and many more pending. He holds a Masters of Science degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Chalmers University of Technology, Gothenburg, Sweden.

ANAS MEERZA

CEO OF NATIONAL TECHNOLOGY ENTERPRISES COMPANY (NTEC)

Mr. Anas Meerza has been the CEO of National Technology Enterprises Company (NTEC) since March 1, 2010. Mr. Meerza joined NTEC in mid 2005. He has also started several technology companies in Kuwait specializing in industrial applications, web-based applications and services, information technologies, telecommunications, and software development.
He worked for well over 11 years at the Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research (KISR) as a Research Assistant and then as a Research Associate at the Energy Department. Throughout his professional life at KISR, Mr. Meerza specialized in research work and studies associated with Energy optimization and Alternative Energy Sources, and has published and presented several local and international research papers. He serves as Member of Advisory Board at SET technology gmbh.
Mr. Meerza received a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering Technology in 1994 from the University of Dayton, Ohio, U.S.A.
Ben Kotze

Ben Kotze

Assistant Dean at Central University of Technology, FS

Ben Kotze holds a Masters and Doctoral degrees in Electrical Engineering.
He is professionally registered with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA)
and several associations of which the oldest South African Institute of Electrical
Engineers (SAIEE est. 1904) where he is a fellow.

With seven years, industry experience and over thirty years tertiary education experience in Electrical
Engineering of which he lectured more than 23 subjects. He is still actively involved with industry and work
integrated learning (WIL).
He is currently doing research on vision, several different AGV’s, renewable energy systems, simulation and
control, augmented reality systems, IoT security, smart farming, and prediction methods. Several undergraduate
students, masters and doctoral passed by his mentorship. He attended several international and national
conferences in engineering and education and have published in accredited journals on these topics. He is
currently the assistant dean teaching and learning in the Faculty of Engineering, Built Environment and
Information Technology at the Central University of Technology, Free State. Also actively involved in the
Centre for Sustainable Smart Cities.

Dr Dayang Hanani Abang Ibrahim

Head, Mukah Campus, CENTEXS, Sarawak

Dayang Hanani Abang Ibrahim is a Deputy Director, CENTEXS Digital Academy. She was a Senior Lecturer, Researcher and Consultant at Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology (FCSIT), Universiti Malaysia Sarawak. Her interests are in Service Learning, Knowledge Management, Information Systems in Organisations and Community, IT Governance, Provenance, Educational Learning Technology. In addition, currently she was also Coordinator for Service Learning FCSIT UNIMAS and Certified Master Trainer – Computational Thinking and Computer Science (MDEC).

Dr. Anand Govindaluri is the Founder & Chief Executive Officer of Govin Capital, a Singapore-based investment company that he started in 2014 with a focus on Digital Health & Technology. Dr Anand is also the Founder of Startup Accelerator, Singapore & India with a focus on Startup Entrepreneurship & Innovation management. Anand has 19 years of active investment management experience in healthcare, life sciences and technology. He has led or co-led more than 55 investments and has 20 exits with 2 Unicorn exits. Prior to GOVIN, Anand served as the Senior Vice President & Head of the Investment & Spin-Off Management Division at A*ccelerate, Innovation & Commercialisation arm of A*STAR, Singapore (2009-2012). Prior to A*ccelerate, Anand served as a member of the Direct Investments Life Sciences team at Temasek Holdings, Singapore (2001-2009)

Victor Ponta

VICTOR PONTA

FORMER PRIME MINISTER OF ROMANIA

Victor Ponta was born in Bucharest, Romania. He worked as a prosecutor before becoming involved in Social Liberal Union (until 2014) and Social Democratic Party of Romania (from 2014) politics; he was elected as a deputy for Gorj County in 2004. He served as Minister of Parliamentary Relations from 2008 to 2009, and he went on to serve as President of the PSD from 2010 to 2015. In 2012, he led his party to victory in the local elections. He went on to serve as Prime Minister from 2012 to 2015. In 2019, he founded the liberal PRO Romania party.
