IRVINE, Calif., February 2, 2011 – EON Reality, the world’s leading interactive 3D software provider, assisted students graduating from The Art Institute of California – Orange County by providing a Holographic I to showcase students’ work in three-dimension.  EON’s Holographic I is an integrated display solution that creates the illusion of life-size, full color, 3D interactive floating images.

On December 15, 2010, The Art Institute of California-Orange County hosted a Graduate Portfolio Show at the Embassy Suites in Garden Grove, CA to celebrate and promote what graduating students have created while completing their studies.  Employers from across Southern California attended the Portfolio Show to seek new talent in the graphic design, media arts, fashion, and culinary arts professions.  Each student created their own exhibit area to display their accomplishments for hundreds of visitors.  EON Reality was invited to be the exhibiting digital media company and to feature 3D digital objects created by students from the graphic arts, media arts, and game design programs.  The students’ models, such as the gaming figure and the pump truck shown below, were imported into EON’s software and then given interactivity, textured and rendered so as to display in 3D stereo on EON’s Holographic I, an integrated rear projected display system.

“A new feature to our December Graduate Portfolio Show was the partnership with EON Reality who exhibited 3D models developed by some of our graduates.  The equipment and presentation were really a highlight,” said Dr. Jenny Gonzalez, Director of Career Services, The Art Institute of California – Orange County.

“We were thrilled to participate in this special event to support the graduating students,” said Marly Bergerud, Vice President, Education Development for EON Reality.  “Using EON’s software to transform the students’ models and then display them on the Holographic I allowed the students a unique opportunity to create more powerful presentations of their work as the photorealistic quality of the virtual reality images brought the images to life as they appeared to float in space.”
