IRVINE, CALIFORNIA — May 20, 2026 — EON Reality today announced the launch of Illuminated Intelligence, a next-generation spatial AI platform that transforms existing industrial 3D scans into immersive workforce training, AI-powered field guidance, and operational intelligence systems. Built on EON Reality’s 25 years of experience in immersive learning and industrial XR, the platform enables organizations across oil and gas, chemicals, mining, power, and manufacturing to convert previously underutilized reality-capture assets into scalable operational knowledge infrastructure. By combining digital twins, immersive simulation environments, and real-time field assistance, EON Reality empowers enterprises to improve workforce readiness, strengthen operational safety, and accelerate industrial AI transformation. The platform architecture, deployment framework, and industrial transformation strategy are detailed in the accompanying white paper, Illuminated Intelligence.
Across oil and gas, chemicals, mining, power and pharmaceuticals, operators have spent the last decade investing in reality capture — laser scans, photogrammetry and 3D point clouds of their producing assets. Most of that data sits today as inert geometry. The Illuminated Intelligence platform decomposes those scans into addressable digital twins, makes them behave through EON’s Genesis 3 simulation engine, and surfaces them in the field via the company’s FieldIQ layer on certified hands-free smart glasses — turning a stranded capital expense into a compounding operational asset.

“For 25 years, we built the world’s leading immersive training platform — for the virtual world. Today we are leaving the virtual world and entering the physical one. We are illuminating it. The Great Crew Change is taking decades of operator expertise out the door. Unplanned downtime in oil and gas alone runs at $38 million per offshore platform per year. And every major incident the industry has lived through — from Deepwater Horizon’s $65 billion bill onward — has a procedural and knowledge root cause we can now solve. Illuminated Intelligence is how we solve it.”— Dan Lejerskar, Founder and Chairman, EON Reality.
One twin, two surfaces, one continuous data stream. The Illuminated Intelligence pipeline runs in five stages: SCAN (existing capture) → DECOMPOSE (the partner unlock that separates fused meshes into addressable components) → SIMULATE (Genesis 3 training on the decomposed twin) → ILLUMINATE (FieldIQ field guidance on certified glasses) → SCALE (continuous, outcome-tagged data that compounds with every shift worked). The same decomposed digital twin is used twice — to train workers safely in the simulator, and to guide and verify the same workers on the live asset in the field. Every guided task produces structured data — the corpus that trains the next decade of industrial autonomy.
Built on certified, in-production hardware. The platform deploys on consumer-class spatial-computing glasses in safe and training zones, and on certified hazardous-area wearables — including the RealWear Navigator Z1, certified to ATEX Zone 1, IECEx, CSA Class I-Division 1 and UKCA — for live process environments. The three-zone architecture is co-authored with each operator’s HSE function and matches the device to the area classification; no consumer hardware ever enters a hazardous zone.
The autonomous frontier. EON Reality positions Illuminated Intelligence as the foundation layer for industrial autonomy. The same playbook that gave Amazon, Tesla and Waymo their autonomy advantage — deploy humans-with-sensors at scale, capture the long tail of real-world edge cases, train autonomy on the resulting corpus — applies, uniquely, to hazardous industrial work. Robotic precedent for that work is no longer theoretical: BP, Aker BP and Woodside are already deploying quadruped inspection robots on producing oil and gas facilities. The Illuminated Intelligence data corpus, anchored on decomposed digital twins, becomes the labelled, outcome-tagged training data the next generation of certified hazardous-area autonomy will need.
“Every operator we are speaking with has the same problem. The knowledge is walking out the door. The scans are stranded. The downtime is real. And the AI everyone is excited about is being built for screens, not for the actual world. We are the company building the actual world. Operators who join us today are not buying a training programme — they are building a defensible institutional-knowledge asset that compounds, and banking the data that the next decade of hazardous-area autonomy will need.”— Dan Lejerskar, Founder and Chairman, EON Reality.
Early deployments and commercial models. Initial Illuminated Intelligence engagements are underway with a global supermajor oil and gas operator, and in advanced discussions with multiple Tier-1 operators across oil and gas, chemicals and mining. The platform is available under flat-licence, tiered-licence and outcome-based commercial structures — including value-share pricing tied to measured avoided cost — designed to align EON Reality’s compensation with each operator’s measured operational outcomes.
