Irvine, CA. — May 4, 2026 — EON Reality, the 25-year-old immersive learning company with more than 4,400 customers across 80 countries, today released Genesis 3 — an authoring platform that turns a phone walkthrough, photo set, or floor plan of any facility into a fully walkable, photoreal XR training simulation in approximately 30 days. The release marks the largest technical reframe in the company’s history and ends a content bottleneck that has constrained industrial XR training adoption for two decades.
For 25 years, building a single immersive training scenario for an oil rig, manufacturing line, or hospital wing required six-figure budgets and 6 to 18 months of bespoke 3D production in game engines. That cost structure is why immersive learning has reached only an estimated 2 percent of the global industrial training market, despite consistently outperforming classroom instruction on time-to-competence and recordable safety incidents.
Genesis 3 changes the input from skilled human labor to a phone video. The platform converts captured facility footage — or a CAD model, BIM file, or floor plan — into a multi-room, training-ready 3D environment, then wraps it in EON’s pedagogical infrastructure: an in-world AI Mentor, the company’s Do–Say–Show competency assessment, a curriculum-tagged library of 95 validated environments and 475 reusable objects, and direct connection to certification and career pathways.
Three breakthroughs in one release
- Infinite training worlds. Environments expand on demand into connected ecosystems — a single oil rig grows into the full energy supply chain; a single classroom expands into a living virtual campus. Customers move from buying training modules to buying simulated operations.
- Facility-to-training in minutes. Photo, walkthrough video, or floor plan in. Training-ready 3D environment out. The four-step pipeline (capture, generate, surround with pedagogy, deploy) compresses scenario development from months to hours and makes scalable rollouts across thousands of customer sites operationally feasible for the first time.
- Photoreal safety-critical fidelity. Realism that meets the bar regulated industries demand. Buyers in oil and gas, aviation, healthcare, defense, and nuclear power who previously rejected immersive training as “too gamey for our safety culture” can now enter procurement processes that were closed two years ago.
“Three constraints fell at once. The walls hold. Worlds grow. Photo becomes training environment in minutes. The question is no longer whether your immersive training can be built — it is what your workforce learns next. For 25 years that question was unanswerable at scale. Genesis 3 answers it,” stated Dan Lejerskar, Founder & CEO, EON Reality and EON AI Ventures.
Operator validation
Genesis 3 enters general availability after a closed-beta period with several Tier-1 industrial operators, including a global integrated oil company and one of the largest national oil companies. In a representative beta engagement, an operator captured a 4-minute phone walkthrough of an offshore facility on a Monday and was running team-based emergency-response training inside a virtual twin of the same facility by the following Friday — a workflow that previously required a 12-month bespoke build and a six-figure budget.
EON Reality is offering Genesis 3 access to the existing 4,400-customer base at no additional cost through Q2 2026 as part of the platform-wide rollout, with new enterprise and education customers entering through the EON Global Virtual Campus and certified partner network.
OTC 2026 — Founders Pilot
To coincide with the Offshore Technology Conference in Houston (NRG Center, May 4–7, 2026), EON Reality is offering a Genesis 3 Founders Pilot — capped at 20 OTC-attending facilities. Participants provide a phone walkthrough, photo set, or floor plan of an active facility and receive, within 30 days, a virtual twin of the site with one full training scenario built around their own operating procedure. Pricing is a flat USD 50,000, against a comparable Unity-built equivalent of USD 300,000–700,000 and 6–18 months. The Increment Program is being recognized at the OTC Opening General Session this year.
