Dan Lejerskar, Chairman of EON Reality, presented how Virtual and Augmented Reality is key to innovating education at the 5th European Immersive Education (iED) Summit in Paris, France. VR and AR technology can enable students to learn faster, remember longer, and decide better.

Studies have shown that 86{0fab034ea82b07661647ea8532e9066bcdd529bddfd482414d4493f90063c904} of students improved their test results in a 3D enabled classroom, attention levels doubled from 46{0fab034ea82b07661647ea8532e9066bcdd529bddfd482414d4493f90063c904} to 92{0fab034ea82b07661647ea8532e9066bcdd529bddfd482414d4493f90063c904}, and test scores increased by 35{0fab034ea82b07661647ea8532e9066bcdd529bddfd482414d4493f90063c904}. For example, EON Reality is partnering with publishers to create textbooks that include Augmented Reality. This will help make subjects more accessible and help students visualize difficult to understand concepts. Augmented Reality has the ability to enhance existing textbooks and offer an engaging experience to students.

EON Reality’s Global Interactive Digital Center network empowers the creation of this educational content. Together, EON Reality’s Global IDC Network has created the world’s largest Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality knowledge transfer library.

IMMERSION 2015 is hosted by Paris-Sorbonne University (“the Sorbonne”), in collaboration with the Smithsonian Institute, and the global Immersive Education Initiative, a non-profit collaboration between educational institutions, research institutes, museums, and corporations from around the world.
