EON Reality recently extended support to CA²VES, the Center for Aviation and Automotive Technology Education using Virtual E-School, a project that focuses on meeting the needs of  the aviation and automotive workforce in South Carolina.

Frank Botdorf, Director of East Coast Business Development for EON Reality, participates on the Board of Advisors for CA²VES alongside Clemson University, the SC ATE National Center, Florence-Darlington Technical College, Greenville Technical College, Trident Technical College, and in partnership with SpaceTEC®, AMTEC, CARCAM, and the South Carolina automotive and aviation industry.  As the hub of the automotive and aviation industry, CA²VES focuses on creating advanced curriculum delivery technologies, evaluating existing instructional material, and assessing teaching practices and workplace preparedness in the Southeastern US region.  CA²VES hopes to create a regional community of scholars among research universities, community colleges, K-12 educators and industry to implement the next generation of aviation and automotive manufacturing technology curricula.

The CA²VES project objectives are:

• To create a CA²VES Virtual E-School by expanding automotive/aviation technician education programs at technical colleges via innovative and cost-effective E-learning options to support the automotive/aviation curriculum. The focus is to develop and deliver E-learning modules with virtual reality or similar high-level visualization/simulation tools for automotive/aviation fields for region-wide implementation and evaluation.
• To increase access to support recruitment and learning for automotive and aviation students through this SC- automotive/aviation network.
• To advance the long-term sustainability of CA²VES in the region.
