The program will aid future skills programs around the world.
EON Reality, the global leader in Augmented and Virtual Reality-based knowledge and skills transfer for industry and education, announces a new program to help future skills of students and workforce development programs around the world reach new heights. The Future Skills Grant Program is the new offering born out of the success of the Grant Guarantee Program that will look to transform XR career training at numerous colleges and other locations.
Although any educational facility is eligible to apply for the new program, the grant targets academic organizations dedicated to improving the career-based future skills of their students. Because of the new program’s focus on workforce development, EON Reality is able to cover nearly 99% of the funding required for an XR training center for 5,000 students and 750 employees/interns for up to 5 years.
“A program like the Future Skills Grant Program gives us the opportunity to directly impact the next generation of students and workers while growing the knowledge metaverse to new levels. This exemplifies our belief that knowledge is a human right and we should do everything we can to spread it to as many people as possible, regardless of whether they’re studying for academic purposes or to improve their careers. Now, we have the tools and resources to bring some very high-end XR training capabilities to institutions that could use them around the world.”
Dan LejerskarFounder of EON Reality
As many are likely aware, EON Reality’s most recent initiative, the invitation-only Grant Guarantee Program, introduced a whopping 73 new institutions around the world into the EON-XR network and has already expanded the possible use cases and applications available. The Future Skills Grant Program looks to build upon that success by opening the possibilities of new products such as EON Merged XR and Spatial Meetings to XR training and workforce development teams. Tools such as Digital Twin technology will allow the new XR partners to digitize their surroundings, convert their existing training materials, and launch new assessments and activities to further XR development for career training. These tools have already been used in a multitude of subjects such as medical, industrial safety, energy, transportation, archaeology, history, and more.
In addition to the advanced tools, the core of every XR training center funded by the Future Skills Grant Program is EON-XR. The flagship all-purpose platform brings immersive and interactive lessons and content to students, educators, and businesses of all types and sizes, so it provides a solid foundation for those developing more advanced XR research and applications. It’s already helped millions of users around the world, and can easily and affordably be scaled to roll out to any school, city, or nation.
The Future Skills Grant Program is currently open to qualified candidates. For more information and to apply, please fill out the online application or contact your local EON Reality representative.
