The Research Grant Program is the new offering born out of the success of the Grant Guarantee Program that will look to transform XR research at numerous universities and other locations.

Although any academic facility is eligible to apply for the new program, EON Reality’s Board of Directors will only be approving those who fit into one of the 10 pre-determined research categories unless they have specific details for another pre-approved XR research project. Because of the new program’s focus and exclusivity for elite XR research teams, EON Reality is able to cover nearly 99% of the funding required for an XR research center for 5,000 students and 750 employees/interns for up to 5 years.

As many are likely aware, EON Reality’s most recent initiative, the invitation-only Grant Guarantee Program, introduced a whopping 73 new institutions around the world into the EON-XR network and has already expanded the possible use cases and applications available. The Research Grant Program looks to build upon that success by opening the possibilities of new products such as EON Merged XR and Spatial Meetings to high-level XR research and content creation teams. Tools such as Digital Twin technology will allow the new XR partners to digitize their surroundings, convert their existing projects, and launch new case studies to further XR research and development from an academic perspective. These tools have already been used in a multitude of subjects such as medical, industrial safety, energy, transportation, archaeology, history, and more.
