Leading Institutions Collaborate to Bridge the AR/VR/XR Skills Gap in Europe and Beyond.
IRVINE, CA – October 26, 2023 – As industries rapidly adopt augmented, virtual, and mixed reality (AR/VR/XR) technologies, the demand for skilled technical and non-technical professionals in fields like healthcare, education, and manufacturing is surging. Recognizing the challenges and opportunities this presents, a consortium of esteemed institutions from across Europe and beyond have launched the “Metaverse Academy.” This ambitious three-year project seeks to bridge the skills gap and bolster EU’s competitive stance in immersive technologies.
