EON Reality Mauritius, local subsidiary of the world’s # 1 virtual and augmented reality, yesterday inaugurated its Interactive Digital Center (IDC) in Mauritius.
This center of excellence, the first of its kind in Africa, includes the VR Innovation Academy, a content creation unit and a showroom and he was born with the support of Mauritius Telecom, Orange and State Informatics Limited.
“It is an honor for me to participate in the launch this first in Africa, and I have to commend the work done by my predecessor in the ministry, Jugnauth, for it is he who approved the installation of EON Reality in Mauritius in March,” said Roshi Bhadain. “Today we are better able to meet the ambition of the Government to go upmarket our ICT sector as EON Reality has not only invested in tools and advanced technology, but the company also founded a school to train for free, 3D engineers of tomorrow in Mauritius. All this is consistent with the strategic five-year plan developed by the Ministry of Technology, Communication and Innovation with the aim of making Mauritius a smart country,” he said.
