The partnership includes groundbreaking EON-XR solutions for Universidad del Desarrollo students and faculty

IRVINE, CA, March 1, 2022 – EON Reality, the global leader in Augmented and Virtual Reality-based knowledge and skills transfer for industry and education, announces a new agreement with Universidad del Desarrollo to bring the knowledge metaverse to their campuses in Concepción and Santiago, Chile.

One of Chile’s first private universities, Universidad del Desarrollo has been a trailblazer in engineering for over 30 years. The first degree they offered was in Commercial Engineering, and they’ve since expanded their engineering department while offering coursework in other STEM fields like physical medicine and medical technology. Universidad del Desarrollo also continually broadens its educational network, offering its students over 200 exchange programs with universities from 41 countries. Given the strength of their engineering background and willingness to work with other academic institutions, Universidad del Desarrollo is a natural addition to EON Reality’s international community. Now, with access to world-class XR solutions, their classrooms will move into the future of interactive teaching, regardless of subject, class size, or the many other factors impacting schooling.

With the new EON-XR delivery and welcome to the knowledge metaverse, Universidad del Desarrollo’s educators will offer “hands-on” training to their students without the usual logistical restrictions in many forms of engineering and vocational studies. With lifelike 3D models at their students’ virtual fingertips, professors can create immersive and interactive lessons for those on campus as well as those studying remotely.

As one of EON Reality’s first Chilean partners, Universidad del Desarrollo will be essential users of EON-XR and eventually contributors to EON Reality’s global network and the knowledge metaverse.
