As EON Reality’s latest location, the students will receive remote AR and VR solutions to use at home and in classrooms.

EON Reality, the global leader in Augmented and Virtual Reality-based knowledge and skills transfer for industry and education, announces a new partnership with Manchester Community College (MCC) in New Hampshire to bring AR and VR delivery methods to their remote and in-person classrooms.

Beginning in the Fall 2020 semester, MCC will introduce EON Reality’s remote AR and VR solutions to their Cybersecurity program within the Computer Science department. With more courses and professors focusing on maintaining a high-level education from a distance in order to not rush back into classrooms before it’s safe, EON Reality’s Augmented and Virtual Reality technology will be expanded even further throughout MCC’s classes in the spring.

By enabling students to use remote VR and AR solutions through both their cell phones and tablets as well as fully immersive headsets (in addition to standard PCs), MCC’s educators will be able to offer “hands-on” lab work without needing students to physically learn in classrooms. Many educators believe the technological improvements will help to expand the possibilities for new students of all types.

“We believe this additional delivery method will make labs, lessons and demonstrations come alive and become more interactive and engaging for students. Computer Science is excited about this new addition, and we would like our new and potentially new students to be aware of this when considering MCC and when registering for classes, as it will transform otherwise run-of-the-mill online classes into a fun and engaging class experience.”

Being able to help students and educators through partnerships like this are why EON Reality has recently focused on making its services more accessible for everyone. By allowing end-users to utilize remote VR and AR solutions to create their own lessons and modules, professors, pupils, employees, and employers can all become AR and VR content creators by relying on the catalog of self-help items within EON Reality’s Resource Center.

“Rather than having to create or help create individual lessons and modules for teachers to use, we’ve found that giving teachers and students the keys to make their own content is a far superior option. Not only does it mean that each lesson is perfectly tailored to what the instructor needs, but it also encourages the students to become experts themselves when designing lessons to teach their peers. EON Reality has always believed in making top-notch learning accessible to everyone, and focusing on self-directed learning is the next logical step in that process.”

In recent months, EON Reality has highlighted some of the top lessons and modules created by their partners around the world through the application highlights portion of the company’s website. By sharing these outstanding lessons beyond the initial school-wide audience, EON Reality is also helping to grow the national and international library of AR and VR resources for students and educators regardless of topic or location.
