High resolution 360 degree environment and guided tour brings this iconic Renaissance location to life
IRVINE, CA, October 14, 2015 – EON Reality Inc., the world leader in Virtual Reality based knowledge transfer for industry, education, and edutainment, and Virtualiter, a leading company in Virtual Reality productions for world-famous museums, luxury locations and exhibitions, have released a Virtual Reality tour of the Magi Chapel, an iconic Florence landmark. This pilot application is a part of EON Reality’s World Heritage Initiative which seeks to preserve and protect cultural treasures from around the world.
As part of the Palazzo Medici Riccardi, the Magi Chapel highlights the power and influence that the Medici family, the de facto rulers of Florence, wielded during the Renaissance. The Magi Chapel app showcases in vivid detail the frescoes by Benozzo Gozzoli that adorn every wall. Users are able to explore the Chapel in a full 360 degrees and examine every detail. By looking at each fresco, the viewer is able to explore, in greater detail, each fresco and hear a detailed explanation for each.

“This amazing Virtual Reality application will bring the user inside the Medici’s private chapel, the very same room which Lorenzo the Magnificent used to walk in,” said Sergio Porrini of Virtualiter. “This application is a fascinating journey in the golden age of the Renaissance in Florence.”
The EON World Heritage Initiative was established to bring to life the many historical and cultural treasures from around the world. EON Reality seeks to preserve and protect sites and objects from damage and destruction. The Magi Chapel application is just one example of the work this initiative is doing and its concept can be applied to other landmarks around the world.

You can experience this application by accessing it on EON Experience VR (for both iOS and Android), or by downloading it from Google Play. This app will be available on the Apple App Store in the coming weeks. The Magi Chapel app is for demo purposes only and it is not intended for commercial use.
