With an initial investment of 20 million dollars, the company EON Reality installed a Virtual Reality technology center in Mexico, which will open its doors in the third quarter. In an interview with MILENIO, Dan Lejerskar, president and CEO of the company, said that the center consists of four components: a school, a factory, a distribution platform and broadcast.
Initially 200 Mexican students will be invited to instruct them on virtual reality. In the factory, “knowledge modules will be created and there will also be a platform for distribution and dissemination, for which we will have a dome where 300 thousand people who can learn and spread the word of virtual reality will fit.”
It is estimated that over the next 10 years, the market of virtual reality will be between 85 and 110 million dollars and will be applied in sectors such as education, health, energy, aerospace and automotive, among others. During the conference where the announcement was made, the governor of the State of Mexico, Eruviel Avila, reported that the company will be installed in Atizapan de Zaragoza. [He] also stressed that the arrival of this company in the country will mark a before and after in education in the country.
The governor informed that agreements with the company for the development of safety devices and police training were also signed, as well as for the health sector which will focus on improving service to citizens and reducing child and maternal mortality, among others.
