IRVINE, CA, June 5, 2018 – EON Reality Inc., the world leader in Augmented and Virtual Reality (AVR) based knowledge transfer for industry and education, announces new features to Virtual Trainer, a SaaS Product on the AVR Platform, that enhance its benefits to enterprises with additional self-study options, in application data feeds, and virtual guides to train employees faster. These features allow Virtual Trainer to offer self-study, one-to-one, or one-to-many training to meet enterprise knowledge transfer objectives and keep trainees engaged with their subject matter.

Enhanced self-study options, such as a Virtual Tablet that can display instructions or documents, allow individual users to practice complex procedures without the expert guidance. Additionally, virtual guides which show hand placement and the corresponding motion to complete the next task eliminate confusion as to what a worker needs to do to advance the procedure to the next stage. These features all tie together with the in-application web browser and data feeds that allow those in an immersive training environment access documents, manuals, or other information to help them complete their training. Guidance features can be turned on or off to scale the difficulty and move the end user from an introductory training session to virtually certifying their competence to perform a procedure.

“We developed Virtual Trainer to bridge the gap between the large infrastructure requirements our customers had for their training applications and the custom applications we were developing each time from scratch for them,” said Mark Bridgeman, COO of EON Reality and Managing Director of EON Reality, Ltd. “By integrating with our clients backend systems, and creating scalable Virtual Training product that leverages EON Reality’s unparalleled VR industry experience we’ve created a killer app for enterprise.”

Virtual Trainer is ideal for procedure practice, remote training, and virtual certification. By leveraging the multi-user functionality and VOIP support, Virtual Trainer can dramatically reduce training costs and the efficiency of trainers by minimizing travel, allowing for the trainer to focus on the advanced areas rather than the basics, and reduces the need for on the job training so workers are more efficient when they begin their tasks. Training in an immersive environment provides Operations and Human Resources a treasure trove of performance data that can be used to make work environments safer, procedures more efficient, or identify areas in which training is failing.

  • Training module: procedure practice, remote training, virtual certification
  • Multi-user: support for 1-1 or 1-many training

Virtual Trainer is a SaaS product built on EON Reality’s AVR Platform. Virtual Trainer offers the training component to get a worker ready to perform his task and follows the on-boarding and learning function of Creator AVR. AR Assist is the third part of the AVR Platform and it provides workers real-time contextual information and assistance in their visual field as they perform their day to day tasks.
