Silicon Valley Meets Hollywood!
IRVINE, Calif., June 19, 2013 – EON Reality, the world’s leading interactive 3D software provider, and Vision 3 Experiential (V3E), an industry frontrunner in multi-media content and technology for next generation film production, theme parks and museums, today announced an exclusive joint venture, EONVision Inc., to develop and deploy state-of-the-art Experience and Discovery Centers (EDC) around the globe.
The EDC is a radically new imagining of the more traditional theme parks and museums that exist today. Using the latest multi-media, Virtual Reality (VR) and interactive 3D technologies, feature film-quality content, advanced theme park show systems, Broadway theatricality, great narrative story-telling and a healthy dose of academic excellence, Experience and Discovery Centers will be a completely new, thrilling, immersive learning adventure for its guests.
EDCs will be themed on science, technology and the collective human experience. Imagine being taken back in time to the land of the dinosaurs or the deepest depths of our oceans – and believing you are actually there! How about exploring the inside of your own body or the farthest reaches of space? These subjects relate to everyone, young and old, and from every culture and corner of the globe.
The market for ‘Edutainment’ is experiencing a rapid global growth. To meet these market demands, EONVision has developed a strategy to establish Experience and Discovery Centers with local partners to optimize the introduction of these state-of-the-art « theme park museums » in each key region.
EDCs are also engineered to be mobile and dynamic. Designed as a traveling experience exhibition, or ‘scientific circus,’ EDCs can be easily taken down, transported and re-erected at the next location. This means the experience comes to you and allows for deployment in multiple population centers, for limited times, that may not otherwise support a permanent placement. Furthermore, the facility architecture and design acts as a ‘dynamic blank canvas,’ allowing for simple change out/updating of content, technology and show theming in a matter of days, not years.
Experience and Discovery Centers will consist of a wide range of immersive equipment such as EON Icube, EON Holographic I, EON AR, EON Ibench, EON Holopodium, EON Artificial I and EON Icatcher along with cutting-edge Virtual Reality content and related technologies from around the globe.
EONVision will offer turnkey EDC deployment, management, operational oversight, content refreshment, creative alternatives and marketing interface applications. Each regional hub will become self-sustaining as a cultural enterprise zone and spawn high-tech, skilled local job creation in many related fields.
The first EDC is scheduled to launch December 2014, with identical centers in key global markets following up shortly thereafter.
