Two days of speakers and technology demonstration celebrated the first anniversary of the opening of EON Reality’s Manchester office.
IRVINE, CA, April 24th, 2014 – EON Reality Inc., the world’s leading interactive 3D software provider, demonstrated its Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, and interactive digital media technologies to over 100 visitors from four continents at the EON Experience Workshop held in Manchester on April 10th and 11th. Visitors toured EON Reality Ltd.’s facilities and subject matter experts spoke on the uses of Virtual Reality technology in key industrial segments.
Guests toured the showroom and witnessed first hand some of the innovative products and content that EON Reality has developed. On display was a collaborative Aircraft Maintenance Simulator that allows two people to train on the necessary pre-flight checks for small aircraft. Also, visitors could experience the Virtual Aquarium, a few new Interactive Mirror applications, and experience American Football with SIDEKIQ and an Oculus.

As part of the facilities tour, students in EON Reality’s Entrepreneur School showcased their portfolios and current projects. Visitors had a chance to explore the school and interact with current and former students. Several instructors were on hand to explain the curriculum, student selection process, and how the Entrepreneur School fits into EON Reality’s ecosystem.

Speakers at the event covered a wide swath of Virtual Reality experiences. Professor Lee Sing Kong, Director of Singapore’s National Institute of Education, spoke on the advances and possibilities of Virtual 3D Learning. Joseph Cheben, former Senior Engineering Associate at ExxonMobil, detailed the uses of Virtual Reality in the Oil and Gas sector. Michael Yap, Chairman of EON Reality’s Advisory Board, discussed the EON Innovation Program and incubation process for ground breaking ideas in the Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, and Interactive Digital Media.

Additionally, Eddie Smith, Manchester City’s Strategic Director, spoke at length about the Public/Private partnership between EON Reality and the City of Manchester. He detailed the process by which EON Reality Ltd. came to be as well as the benefits that the City of Manchester has already reaped from their partnership with EON Reality.
