The new collaboration will bring XR classroom technology and materials to Romanian students.
EON Reality, the global leader in Augmented and Virtual Reality-based knowledge and skills transfer for industry and education, announces a new partnership with the National Union of Romanian Employers (UNPR) to help bring EON-XR into the company’s classrooms throughout the nation.
The new partnership will begin at Politehnica University of Timișoara, thanks to a rector who is interested in implementing the XR solution as an essential classroom tool for all of the university’s students. From there, the two organizations will look to collaborate further by continuing ongoing conversations with the current Ministry of Education in Romania about the possibility of a national rollout bringing EON-XR to K-12 students across the country.
“Confident in our goal of promoting advanced technologies which support the development of private companies through better training of the workforce, our Employers' Confederation has sought partners and mature solutions — folded on or adaptable — to any business vertical and to any learning level, from gymnasium, dual vocational to university. Thus, fulfilling all these criteria through the EON-XR platform, EON Reality became the partner, the honorary member and the solution chosen for implementation, a solution that we support and we want to customize for the private and public environment in Romania.”
Florin BalintVice President of UNPR
With more than a year of collaboration between EON Reality and the oldest employer confederation in Romania, a handful of other major universities within the nation are seeking to become the California-based XR company’s next academic client in the area after seeing how a classroom can be transformed by the software. These desires have been expedited by the current shift to online and remote education due to the global pandemic, which has inspired the aforementioned Ministry of Education’s Interest as well.
Initially targeted as a broad and unfocused partnership, the success of EON-XR in a classroom setting around the world has made education a primary target for both sides of the deal. Given the necessity of immersive remote learning and training, the implementation of XR solutions in academia has become a priority for millions of students and instructors around the world.
“Being able to provide EON-XR to students in countries like Romania has easily been one of the best parts of our recent expansion into new areas. EON Reality has always been built on giving others the tools to learn and succeed in their chosen fields, and this partnership with UNPR will help the good people of Romania to advance their academic technology to the present day and beyond. I cannot wait to see the continued impact that these implementations will make at universities and schools all throughout Romania.”
Dan LejerskarFounder of EON Reality
During the next period of the partnership, EON Reality and UNPR will meet with representatives from interested universities — including The University of Bucharest, The University of Craiova, Gheorghe Asachi Technical University of Iasi, and Technical University of Cluj Napoca — to discuss the possibility of implementing XR classroom solutions into a greater number of Romanian higher education institutions.
