The XR rollout will deliver the solution to students across 17 Caribbean countries and territories

EON Reality, the global leader in Augmented and Virtual Reality-based knowledge and skills transfer for industry and education, announces a new partnership with The University of West Indies Open Campus to launch a brand new EON-XR rollout across the Caribbean.

The EON-XR rollout will span all of The University of West Indies’ campuses and be the first of its kind in the Caribbean, which will impact students across a multitude of countries and territories. It also shows The University of West Indies’ commitment to bringing the best technology available to its students regardless of location or the ability to enter a classroom.

As the top public university system in the Caribbean, The University of West Indies, through the Open Campus provides an opportunity for EON Reality to reach the next generation of students throughout the entire region rather than focusing on one location at a time. It’s the perfect setup for the company’s flagship solution to bring XR content to as many students, teachers, and faculty members as possible all at once.

“Partnering with the University of West Indies has been an absolute no-brainer for us, as it allows us to maximize our reach within the Caribbean all while working with a top-notch institution. We want to bring the best XR solutions that we possibly can to as many students and workers as possible, and this partnership allows us to do exactly that. I look forward to seeing how The University of West Indies through the Open Campus working with the other campuses will put EON-XR to use over the years.”

Dan LejerskarFounder of EON Reality

The EON-XR rollout will provide a new depth of opportunity for students and teachers to incorporate XR into their daily education routine while also learning more about developing and creating XR content as a part of the rapidly growing industry. Additionally, it will provide local businesses at each location with an opportunity to learn about the possibilities of the technology, which they can then seek out for modern solutions for all of their training and performance needs.

“The Open Campus is excited about this new project with EON Reality and its potential to position the Campus and The UWI at the cutting edge of technology-enabled education across the Caribbean. As the online Campus of The UWI, the Open Campus is perfectly positioned to introduce this high-end technology to both students and faculty while improving the quality of education experience it delivers.”
