EON Reality’s primary partner in Australia is the latest university to receive the groundbreaking new solutions.
IRVINE, CA, March 10, 2023 – EON Reality, Inc. (“EON Reality”), a global leader in Virtual and Augmented Reality (“XR”) industry and education solutions powered by Artificial Intelligence (AI), announces a new upgrade to its partnership with Swinburne University of Technology in Australia to bring cutting-edge Spatial AI technology to its students.
The users of EON Reality’s products at Swinburne were already some of the top creators and innovators within EON Reality’s global network, and now they’ll be able to create content more efficiently than ever before with EON AI Assistant. By adding EON AI Assistant to their existing EON Reality solutions, Swinburne will help its students learn more efficiently. The new AI-powered features will also help professors and instructors create and design their own course materials without needing to spend nearly as much time or effort.
These major improvements add to the various EON Reality offerings already in use by Swinburne, providing features such as the world-leading massive XR library and the ability to create, utilise and distribute XR content on devices ranging from smartphones to headsets. In addition to this existing functionality, EON AI Assistant will support and break down barriers for creation, distribution and consumption of information.
“Swinburne has long been one of our top partners in Australia, and this new improvement allows us to bring that partnership into the present and future,” says Founder, CEO and Chairman of EON Reality Dan Lejerskar. “I know that the good people at Swinburne will be able to make a difference in their academic lives with EON AI Assistant and show the world its power in the process. This is truly the next step in transforming how the world learns and teaches.”
One of the main features of EON Reality’s new AI-powered solution is the functionality of Spatial AI, featuring a full-bodied avatar that can see, hear, and interact with the world around it. This AI-powered avatar can show and tell in Virtual Reality, while also maintaining the ability to guide and assist in real-world tasks in Augmented Reality. Additionally, Spatial AI provides a unique layer on top of existing AI-based language models, in that it’s trained with specific information for each topic across various segments, initially with a focus on academic studies.
Following decades of work with global enterprises and world-class academic institutions, EON Reality’s offerings are known as the primary products and content delivery vehicles for AI-powered XR education and industry solutions. EON Reality’s partnership with Swinburne will provide students and faculty with access to these solutions, giving them the power they need to provide immersive experiences that will push education forward on every level.
Swinburne University of Technology is focused on educating students to use AI ethically. Associate Professor Ambarish Kulkarni and the team are exploring EON-based functions that can be beneficial in teaching. “Blending virtual and real-world elements to create immersive experiences will enhance the overall education experience,” says Associate Professor Kulkarni.
AI can act as a virtual assistant within a mixed reality (MR) environment, helping users to navigate and interact with the virtual world.
EON’s capabilities can also be leveraged to provide context-aware information to users within an MR environment. For instance, it could identify objects or people within the user’s field of view and provide information about them in real-time. This would enable users to learn more about their surroundings and deepen their engagement with the MR environment.
